Catco Cats

Are the center of Catco cats round. If if was gonna gut a 3" Catco cat would I have to cut it open and put a 3" pipe in there?

They arent exactly round, more ovalish.

I dont think you would need to run a pipe through it.

The Catco I have is a four-bolt (both ends) oval.

Catco has both bolt on and slip-fit cats. I have a slip-fit and the pipes are round and there is the ability to slip a pipe through it.
