process of Gutting Cat

I decided to gut my cat to see hwo it soudns first. It took about a little less than an hour. We jacked the car up, and unbolted the intermediate pipe from the cat, but left the cat on the y-pipe since it was welded. we got a small skinny crowbar, and jabbed at all the honey comb inside, started it up, revved it and watched soem of the honey come shoot out, repeaded process many times, then we had to smash soem ofthe bigger chunks inside the cat and break em up. Once we got it mostly hollow out, it really screamed. With my flowmaster it soudsn a lot better I think, deeper and more throatier and more aggresive t idle. Will my headers Im putting on affect teh sound any? Im also thinking of getting Magnaflow Cat-back.

The headers should help you out in the performance department as well as sound.
