Consider this setup...

Guys-

My exhaust system is still very much brand new (4 months), but in the last couple of weeks I've been thinking about switching....

My current setup is a high flow catback, Flowmaster muffler series 50 and chrome megaphone style tips, and I am very pleased with it. However, I've been thinking about changing it out to a series 80 muffler for a louder tone...

Also, I absolutely love chrome 4th Gen style tips on 3rd Gen cars, and am considering having some mounted...

So my new setup would be a high flow catback, Flowmaster muffler series 80 and chrome 4th Gen tips.

What do you guys think?

I thought the lower series flowmasters were louder?

But my 80 series is not close to being quiet. Im very happy with it. It might take a while to break in though. Don't be disapointed if its quiet when you first install it.

Pretty sure series 40 and series 80 are the loudest versions...

According to their specs sheet on their website, they create the most aggressive sounds. So really, I suppose I am going off of their info, rather than hearing the muffler in person.

The series 50 is designed to produce performance air flow, while minimizing in-car sound. This means it produces an aggressive growl outside the car, but inside the car (with the windows up), the sound doesn't resonate and keeps things quiet, which I like.

I just think I'd prefer it to be a little louder than it is, but of course... with my header install coming up, perhaps that will take care of my tone desire
