SLP vs Hooker

I have Hooker shorties now, all coated, but with a small y-pipe - 2 1/4, now I see all these praises on SLP. What type of performance gains would I get by going to 1 3/4 SLP, or should I just get a new y-pipe done for the Hookers. What did you guys pay for a y-pipe? Mine orignally cost me around $300. Also if I did go with the SLP's, what type of clearance issues will I have with the y-pipe with my Jeg's Frame connectors?
this is going on my ZZ4 with Holley 650dp. Any help would be great.

I think the general consensus is go with SLP unless budget is an issue. Certainly the change from 2-1/4" y-pipe to 3" (assuming you're talking about the cat connection) will make a big difference.

I have no clue about the subframe connector question.

Thanks Five7kid, now I'm worried about the crossover pipe not matching correctly, and I don't have access to a mig welder.

The SLP Y-pipe may rub against the passenger side SFC unless you have a modified one for the needed clearance.

The cheap/free way out of this would be to dimple the Y-pipe
