I'm taking off my AIR system for the headers I am putting on and I was wondering if my cat conv will plug up if it isnt getting some AIR injected into it.

 

I've heard that claim before, not sure I buy it. Before my mods, I had the pump disconnected for a year (okay, I "experimented" removing the belt to see if it helped my ETs - it didn't, a week later I went to put the belt back on and the pump was frozen up). I replaced the pump a week before my emissions test was due, it passed with basically the same readings as two years before. That was with the 16-year-old factory LG4 cat.
