Okay, so I finally picked up that exhaust system that I scored off ebay. It is a specific performance exhaust system off a 2001 Trans am, the seller said that he thought it would "probably" fit my '91 Camaro. It looks like it probably will in fact fit, with a little coaxing. The overall system seems to be of a very good quality, with nice factory welds and sturdy construction. It is designed to use two catalytic converters at each end of the front 'y' before the exhaust manifold. I'm thinking I will need to put in just one at the base of the 'Y'. I will probably have to ditch the included Y pipe entirely, partly because the driver's side is intentionally flattened for clearance and welding a circular pipe to the oval profile would be a pain. The dimensions of the various pipes seem pretty strange though. Not quite 2.5" and not 3". I don't know what converter to get or how to attach it. I will include a pic that shows what I mean. I would appreciate any help in finding a good solution to help me install this thing. Thanks!
