I got a header question pertaining to Air tube in TES headers
I made a couple of mistakes from the start of my motor. I originally was gonna run full emissions but i just decided not to go with it. I can pass emission but i know its against the law. I have edelbrock TES headers and since i have no emissions i hate the the way the air tubes stick out even though its not functional(i added a 1 inch cap on it) With air tubes in place and non functional am i losing horsepower whether it be minimal? Some guy is interested in buying my headers and y pipe and since heddman makes a shorty header w/ y pipe and no air tubes go for $230.00 all together is this the way to go. Primaries are the same size, The only thing im concerned is am i losing horsepower with the airtubes in the headers??? Should the HP ratings be the same then with a non emission header?
Thanx for any imput

I'm inclined to believe that the air tubes wouldn't hurt your power.
From what I've read on these tech boards, not too many guys are running the TES systems. To be 100% honest, I would run the TES and hook up the A.I.R. pump and run a high flow converter, with the air tube in the side. I've seen them advertized for 140 bucks. But that is just me
I guess it depends on if you are going after maximum performance
