getting cat off
my cat is on with the muffler clamps, the U bolts with the lockdown.... i took em off and i cant seem to get the cat off.. my buddy says when the shops put em on, they put em on so tight it like creases where they go on... is there anything I can do to get it off without like cutting it n stuff?

He is right. Those clamps do crease the pipes and it will NOT slide off. Since you live in CA I assume you are replacing it and not just removing it. If you are replacing it you will have to save the Y-pipe. So you'll have to cut real close to the cat, then cut the pipe to split it and pry it open to slide it out. There is no other way.
