stright y pipe

stright y pipe

i was told that if i ran stright y pipe (no cat or mufflers) that it will sound like crap and will not sound like im running sright headers. is this true?? i wanted to rig the cat so i can run stright y pipe at the track.

My car with just open headers sounds so loud its scary ...I can't even explain how loud it is. I wouldnt be able to get a mile down the road without getting pulled over or someone calling the cops on me. With just the y-pipe on its nowhere near as loud/mean sounding

well i was also gonna do it for the local crusin around town,, but if its gonna sound like ****(not loud and mean) then **** it im not gonna do it.. anyone know how i can rig my own "removeable" cat ??? no welding,, just clamps
