I have an 84 Z-28 H.O. with edelbrock headers and a monolithic cat, I think the intermediate pipe is a 2.5 inch piece, definately not 3'. That is followed by a flowmaster 2 chamber and 2.5 inch tailpipes. this is a crossflow system, i want a bigger intermediate pipe, not for sound but for performance, this car already sets off car alarms. If flowmaster has a system that is 3 inch and crossflow, I'd like to know, I could just get the intermediate pipe and do some welding.

 

you can get a intermediate pipe just about anywhere, you can just order one for a camaro that has 3" stock and just put it on your car, give midas a call and some places like that, I think they wanted about 100 for a krimed one when I was "brain storming" before I bought my cat-back
