I dont' wanna put on regular style clamps because it can be a pain to get off the pipe after it has been crimped. has anyone tried these?
im planning on using it to clamp the y-pipe to the cat and i might need to get the cat off without damaging the y-pipe if i have to replace the cat come inspection time..

 

yup there great! you can reuse them oner and over, plus they'll seal a huge gap!

 

Band clamps work great. Although I wouldn't recommend re-using them, cause the aluminum stretches. They are not designed to be used in a butt joint, but i suppose you could if you wanted to.
I install them quite regularly. (see sig) Big *** 5" clamps
