Talk of new emissions laws in Dallas.

I have a freind that works at a express lube (Texaco). Well he says they are getting new equitment there and just went through a load of training for these new laws. The dude is saying if you have so much as one monitor, sensor or check engine light they are going to fail you. What he is saying is that they are trying to drive the V-8s out. You know if this is true its a load of (*& $ (^ (*^@# (*#@( )&*%(Y*% if you ask me. If it came to that I would probably shoot myself.

Yeah these new emissions laws look like they will be a PITA.
I dont know if it is every County in Texas or what. Its a good thing my inspection goes out Sunday, so I can be good for another year. I have not one piece of emissions equip. on my car at the moment, and I know I will fail horribly on a sniffer test.
Maybe the car gods will help us out here.

Yeah I'm thinking of just tearing mine off and getting a new one while a can. That would give me a extra 6 months to enjoy a legal muscle car.

yup
they tried this about a decade ago, though, and it didnt work. the dynos they want everyone to buy for the sniffer test are WAY too expensive, and they will have to deal with too much crap if they fail anyone for the smallest thing.

I guess we'll just have to see what happens. I heard it starts in May.
