AIR Removal

I know this has been covered quite in depth and I have checked back messages. But before I remove my AIR system and pump, plug the manifold holes w/ brass plugs, and plug the line to the cat, I was wondering how it affected the computer. Does it give problem message and also how is driveability affected. The car is an 85 z28 w/ carb not FI.
Thanks

Welcome to the board.

The computer commands a diverter valve, and only concerns itself that it sends out the signal. It doesn't care if the command is received or obeyed.

Removed mine two weeks ago off of my 86 IROC LG4 and I have gotten no lights.
