I am looking for a stock 82-84 trans am power bulge cowl hood or 85-92 formula cowl hood. cheap . anyone have one? I'm in Lyles, TN 37098.

anyone??? I really need a new trans am cowl or powerbulge hood. I have one but it has some dents and has a crease in one side. not the best looking hood. I went to the body shop today, a well known one that does good work, and he said for the quality I'm wanting in my car I need an straight and very nice hood. I don't have a truck so I couldn't go far to get it. maybe pay you to meet me if possible. I will give my flat hood from ny other car if wanted. I am looking at getting a loan to restore this car and it's going to cast around 13,000 for the entire interior and exterior body and paint to be done so the car looks perfect. please help or let me know if you know someone? i got a hood. it is in pretty good shape. right now it is blue but i would recomend getting it painted. Im trying to clear space in my garage so i have no problem letting it go for cheap. how does 50 bucks sound. it is off of a formula firebird which i am parting out. so if you need anything else let me know.

hey if you are doing the overhaul that it sounds like you are doing would you also want fenders/quarter panels? i got some brand new skins still in the box if you are interested.

yeah, trying to find one close by that is in good shape we can pick up. we don't have a truck to drive a long way to get one but maybe close by.

still looking for a hood. we were going ot buy a car from a guy and he turned around and sold it behind our back and didn't say anything. we asked him if he could wait another day so we could get the money and he said yest, but sold it. I hate that. we worked all night to figure out how to get the money.

I got a hood the other day and it was white. it looked pretty good untill I got it home and the sun went down and I could see the shadow of dents. So, I'm still looking for a straight hood with no dents. especially straight and no bends in the hood. can anyone help me find one. I know I can order one from companies but they are around $500 and up if they have them not including shipping. the guy at my body shop said it will cost 500 to fix the one I got and would rather us just get a straight hood.

hey man i still got that hod here. If you want i could probably meet you part way and just charge you for gas. Ill still stick to 50 bucks like i said. This hood is straight man. let me know.

where are you located? do you have any pictures? we don't have a truck but if it's around the middle tn area such as franklin, nashville, murfreesboro I have a friend who might help us out. we have several trans ams but no truck to haul things. thanks

just looked over and saw you are in GA. thanks for letting me know you have one but I just don't have any way to get it. wish I could. I just had a guy in my area that said he had one but doesn't want to let it go for less than $1,000. his is a used hood but he wants that much for it.

still looking for a hood in middle TN. I have one with the bulge that needs work but am looking to get one on better shape. will give mine plus cash if wanted.

a perfect one went on ebay yesterday for less than $50.... might want to start checking there on a daily basis until you find one close. thats how I found mine. I am in Mississippi and found mine in Atlanta. Search for "Trans am Hood" and also " firebird hood" and " formula hood"... then sort the results by location closest to you. most likely you will find one for super cheap, but the shipping is high if its not too close to you. I searched for 6 months before I found mine. good luck.

I got a quote locally at the aftermarket body parts place for a plain hood....$240 + tax

You might want to go that route....hoods are hard to find...ask me how I know.

thanks for the info. I've been checking for a while for one. as you can see since 2006. i've had two since then that have the bulge but needed a lot of body work. the body shop didn't really want to touch it. they seem to think it's easy to find this hood. they have no clue. I missed a good deal on one months ago in KY that was black. a guy emailed me a few days ago and said he has a black one in excellent condition for 100. he doesn't have the car anymore and had put a ram air hood on it. he lives a little over an hour away. finally no spray paint cans and body work. I will be picking it up Sat. it's certainly not easy to find a good hood.
