I have an 87 GTA. I am looking for the hinges that attach the back hatch to the car itself. I think the ones I currently have are sprung at the hatch does not close flush. It does close fine, but when closed leaves about a 1" lip. Would like for it to close flush. I have not had any luck looking elsewhere, seems no one knows what I am talking about.

 

I have a set out and ready to be shipped for 25 bucks.

I'm not sure if that's your problem. The gap is on the back of the car, right? If so, it's unlikely your hinges are the problem. These cars are known for having that problem from the factory. In order to fix it, you would have to remove the metal rear deck lid from the glass and re-glue it to line it up properly.

Since you say your hatch closes fine but just doesn't line up I'm sure that's you're problem. If you do a search you'll find there are at least a few threads here on thirdgen about how to fix it.

 

Yes they are working properly there are no problems with them.
