Would an '84 have it/be the same? I'm parting out third gens and have a 84, 86, 87 and 89. I will check and see if I have that clip

well other sources are hinting that the sliding tab under the arm itself will lock it in, but I am unable to get mine to do that. I could have sworn that there was a clip I had to remove first

I just checked this '84 z28 and it only has the sliding tab on the arm. No clip and don't look like any place for a clip to go
