Looking for a nice clean set of Black GM front Floor Mats, really only need the Driver side, but I'll take the pair.

Have you checked out ACCs cutpile floor mat sets for our cars? They are near exact to ours minus the GM rubber emblem which can be sourced from a junkyard or eBay and they have rubber bumps on the backs for better grip. A member here actually worked with ACC to get the measurements for our cars and it shows.

Rockauto has them for $100 a set shipped. I recently ordered a set and they look pretty good.



The shape is near exact to the factory originals which I still have.

 

That will be next option if I can’t find a original. They look good

 

You'll probably want to narrow your search to late 91-92 mats. That's when GM started the switch to the rubber stud backing instead of that tar like earlier backing that's prone to staining the carpet.

 

Good point on the later mats, do you know if anybody makes the GM rubber logo, or pull them off an old set?

 

I have been lucky and just pulled them from the older mats. I've also seen them on new generic gm delco replacement mats. Which is what I have done for 1 set of mats. 2 new sets to make 1 set but then you have a generic set to put down instead of trashing the good set.
