Fiberglass ??

Hi I would like to put fiberglass front fenders on my Camaro, But do not have the money for them at $200 a piece. What I was wondering is how hard is it to make a mold out of the old front fenders?? Also how hard is it to make a 1 piece front end?? Could I just mount up my front bumper cover and fenders and then make a mold of them as a 1 piece and then just make it a fiberglass piece that bolts up in the stock locations. Thanks for any help.

it'll probably be easier to buy the stuff, harwood makes just about everything accept for qrt panels out of fiberglass, but like you said i can't see paying 200 a fender and the 1 piece front end is friggin 800 bucks, but it would be a pita to make fiberglass fenders if you don't have much experience

you know, your thin stamped steel GM fenders are lighter then the fiberglass replacements......

oh, and the cheapie aftermarket stamped steel fenders weigh less then the fiberglass one...
