thanks for the paint comment. i sanded the whole car with 600 then 1000. bought 50 dollars worth of flat black and put umpten light coats. turned out a heck of alot better than i could imagine. i took off the front and rear bumpers handles lights ... anything i could.

Can you expand (maybe you have in another post) on the flat black paint? It looks cleaner than in the mags! SCC's flat black car perpetually has un even flatness.

the funny thing is that i work for a company (pratt & whitney) that they actually spray the stealth coating for the new raptor f22 and other planes. that stuff is pretty freaking cool.

This week on overhauling they had a 3 tone paint job where the difference between 2 of the paints was this satin/semigloss additive... it lookes boss. I think it was single stage too.

Side note.

I too love the targa top. I want to know more info about the targa. Anyone remember the show "Simon & Simon"? Maybe I'm just showing my age.

thats really nice.

I always been scared every time i take my car to the track because i figure i will have to be towed off the starting line or down the track for blowing my rear end up. There is no real good towing point in the front that would not mess up my gfx being so low. They dont care too much about that, they just want it off for they can get the next person to run.

very clean

My thought was to get some 2" webbing, loop it around the bumper, and run it through a small slit in the plastic bumper cover. Add a d-ring if you want to, and you're all set. Similar to the one turner motorsports sells to the BMW crowd for $25.
