fabricated my own strut mounts
well we all know that the bushing inside go's bad on the top strut mount.so i drilled out the ribets of the bearing housing,pop out the bushing,clean it up and went and bought a 0.25 *4' washer weld it inside and then weld the bearing housing on top and got my self some new stronger strut mounts.wat do u guys think?total cost was $35.67.i'll post some pics soon

Reading what this guy did, I'm sure it failed. The factory used rubber to hold the bearings in because when the suspension goes up and down, the bearing oscillates slightly. The bearing and washer probably ripped out. If you look at aftermarket peformance strut mounts, they use a spherical bearing to deal with the movement instead of rubber. Also welding to the bearings probably distroyed them from the excessive heat.
