hoodvents

i've been wondering for a while about making the vents on my t a hood actually functional by cutting out the metal underneath them and then making some sort of rectangular box that would house a similarily sized air filter then go directly to my tpi. anyhow i was just wonderin if anyones done it or thought about it or sees any problems with it
