Spoiler...

Anyone ever consider a Supra style type spoiler.... I was looking at them recently and wondered how they would look and I think if done right it would look pretty bad***. But thats just my opinion... Anyone else feel free to comment..... Thanks

Now ya got my attention here ... I personally don't like the idea .. BUT ... I sure would like to see it.. just for the **** of it *lol*

So who wants to draw one on a 3rd gen Camaro, in Photoshop ? (since I don't have it on this comp)

That Supra spoiler uhmmm will be lower than the roof top though.. right ?

I'm gonna sketch it on paper first... Might be able to skan and get it up on here. Not gonna be that high, I'm thinking maybe twice the height of the Z-28 spoiler mayber a little more...

hmmmm

I guess I would just take a Z28 spoiler, sand it down ... and add fiberglass to it ... extend the depth of it.. extend the legs of it ... simply follow the original lines

i think the z28 spoiler without the 2 middle legs would look good... i dont think that the supra spoiler would follow the body lines real well

OTOH im not much of a spoiler guy... i much prefer the ducktail fin style...

Well I did plan on following the lines of the body. Just saying the supra style cause thats the only car I know of that has a spoiler like that stock.

There used to be a member here called "Eug" who had a giant Supra-style spoiler on his IROC.

In my opinion it looked ridiculous and didn't flow at all with the car.

I any even, you could probably email him to find out what he did.

Again, not my car. I once posted a tech article on painting your tail lights, and made the mistake of using an example of a car that had a huge spoiler and every idiot on the board was too busy trashing the car to read what I wrote.

The exhaust..Its a photoshopped pic i borrowed from another thread on this board. Its the tips i want to use on my LT1 and maybe even the daily V6. DONT CUT YOUR BUMPER

I thought on GT3/4 whatever had an F50 wing similar to the spoiler in the pic i posted. I think they look just like that spoiler but without the middle supports. Camaro experts fill me in.

Ok, now, I am a bit tired, but I reckon either of those spoilers (red or black w/stripes) would make it mighty difficult to open the hatch because they appear to bolt to the quarters and extend over the decklid...

In my opinion that would be the most horrible looking thing you could ever do to a camaro..... the spoiler is meant to look good on a bubbly round supra not a square camaro.. that spoiler would be nasty on anycar and besides whats the point??

i gotta say the supra spoiler on a car is just old these days. its been done too many times and i think it only looks good on the supra. I think our cars look bad *** with a nice sized spoiler, just hate it when people cry and talk trash when its not a z28 hi rise. I have a JSP self adjusting on mine and i usually hear the shopping cart jokes until they see its not a $50 apc you pic up at your local parts store. forget the looks, go functional!! just my 2 cents.
