Hi,

Is there anyone out there doing a swap from a 700R4 to a T56 and still have the traany out and the holes cut for the shifter and the firewall? If so and you still have the pedals off and brake booster slid away, would you be willing to make a template for the holes. I an not a avid mechanic and worried about cutting the firewall. I am also the **** type who likes everything to look stock. Now if there are no takers for the templates would the holes in the firewall be exactly like the ones found in all T5 cars?

the answer is in your car my son....

The factory carpet or sound deadener has an outline cut into it where the section of carpet would be removed for the clutch to go through.

For the shifter, well either go to a junk yard, or do like I did and put trans in place, locate where shifter goes with some marks. Drop trans. Then drill out a permiter from under the car, and play cut to the dots up top or do like I did and add an extra couple inches.
