worth the time/money?

OK, i was thinking about some stuff as far as my 3rd gen goes. As some may know, im building a TT383 backed by a TH400 trans. I was debating making it kinda "stealth" (after looking through the hidden nitrous link in power adder)

anyways, my idea:
build the headers so you cant see the turbos/WGs.
get a dual snorkel air cleaner assembly, run the pipes from the A/W intercoolers (hidden up front) through the stock looking dual snorkel intake and into the acrb hat, which would be hiding inside the D.S. assembly. Then simply use the stock flex tube crap to hide the piping.

So basicaly when you pop the hood you would see a dual snorkle intake with the stock looking tubes just going to the front of the car like stock. I just dont know if it would really be worth it. Its going to be mainly track car but i will be taking it out and about every now and again. dont know if i wanna go that way or just show off like hell and polish everything.

with the stuff being "hidden" it is going to be a pain in the a$$ to work on

ive seen many turboz where they are located at the front facia, like at the grill. plenty of pro-mod and super-mod classes have it set up like that, and ya when you pop the hood, thers no sight of a turbo, just some tubes. only thing i can see being a problem is all the framework being in the way which could make it difficult to tuck it away. but none the less, if you do it it will look awesome

Yeah, that sounds pretty sweet, but wouldnt the exhaust then have to run up into the front? That would kinda give it away wouldnt it? Where i was orignaly going to put them will not work because the T70s are MUCH larger than i thought, when i first just kinda "dropped" some turbos in place to see if they would fit, they barely did and they where 60-1 turbos.
Im gonna dig around and see if i can find any pics of something like you are talking about. If you happen to know of any right off hand feel free to post them up :-)

another quick question:
i see a lot of people making custom turbo headers with very long primary tubes. Is there a reason they do that rather then say using a set of shorty headers and just running exhaust pipe directly to the turbo? For example if i was going to mount the turbos just behind the front bumper, i could either make some rediculously long custom headers that will cost like $300+ to make. or just get a set of shorty/block hugger headers for $50 or so and just run a single 3" pipe up to each of the turbos for about $30. So it would be much cheaper and about 10000 times easier...

I guess the question could be summarized slightly to:
are four 1 5/8" tubes better than one 3" tube of the same length when going to a turbo?
