hardware ????

the only dumb/stupid question is the one not asked . does anyone have or know of a chart/table for 3rd. gens. showing hardware application ? sizes , length , grades , s.a.e. or metric ? it would save many of us huge headaches with damaged threads and/or lost hardware . i know i would use it a lot , and would be willing to pay for one . as a ret. acft. mech. and instructor i know the value of proper hardware . hope someone has or knows of some thing like this . thanks uncle tom

Interesting question...

I know that the factory service manual has most if not all of the hardware sizes. They also give torque specs as well.

See if you can locate one of those. I think that would probably be your best bet.

I have been replacing a lot of my hardware with stainless. Most of the bolts are all the same M4, M6 and M8 on the body. After that there isnt a whole lot from what I have found, engine of course, is all ASE sizes with only a few fine pitch bolts. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are the main pulley bolts which are 3/8"-24

I know most of the suspension is metric, engine itself is going to be standard, but the accessories on it are metric also. Interior is metric. Pretty much plan on any minor repair being metric as far as engine/body goes. Of course lugnuts are standard.
I know the vast majority of the wrench/socket sizes that fit particular hardware off the top of my head, but I don't know size/pitch of them specifically.

Depends on the year. My lugs are M12 x 1.5 and 19mm sockets
