anyone have the dimensions of what it would take to make my own plate to cover up the ugly hole in my firewall, i took out all the heater core and a/c box on my 86 iroc, and need to cover that up SO... if anyone knows the dimensions, or had bought a plate off ebay or something else, that could measure it for me, it would be greatly appreciated..

Please dont take this wrong... But if you have all that stuff pulled out, why dont you just go out and figure out what size plate you need to make???
Easiest way to do that is take a sheet of paper and a crayon. Tape the paper in place. Then do a rub of all the holes. And draw a general outline for the plate. Transfer that to some steel and away you go.
The only reason I say that is, you might not get a direct answer. Since everyones method of covering it is alittle different. Its just one of those things you need to make as you go. If you are looking to buy something pre-made...maybe someoen can chime in with that. I dont know of any though.

Or lay the heater box down on some sheet metal and trace it, and mark the holes. Pick it up, cut out the metal and drill out the holes.

Yup... Same difference. Much better off doing that then going off measurements. I can almost garauntee if you try to use someones drawing or measurements to make the plate it wont bolt in 100% perfect. But if you map it out using either of the above methods it will.
