fuel tank question

I just recently sumped my tank and was wondering what you guys recommend I should do about the inside of the tank. Its recommended that you seal the inside of the tank after sumping it but I have heard from people having problems with sealers pealing off after a few years or so and really dont want to have problems with my fuel system getting ruined or possibly my engine if I go lean. So should I not seal it if the tank checks out on a leak test and leave the inside alone or seal it anyway? Whats the worst that could happen if I dont seal it the inside of the tank might rust a little bit? but with fuel in it the sump atleast at all times the new metal should be good from rust though right? Opinions are appreciated and if anyone has sumped there tank already please let me know what you have done. Thanks for the help.

Re: fuel tank question

The fab forum isn't as popular as others, as you may have noticed. Give it a few more days before panicking. Or repost in the drag racing forum, those are the guys who would have done this mod, vs the fabricators who are doing up fancy LED brake lights or funky interior mods
