strengthening the sub-frame for 3/8 mile dirt track
first let me say, the 3rd gen camaro will be like a boxer with a glass jaw, but i do feel with the proper mods to the strut towers, a good roll cage, solid sub frame connectors, and some other tricks, I think that it just might work fairly good,
I was reading about seam welding the sub-frames,
http://http://www.drifting.com/forum...hp/t-1097.html
I am in the first stages of planning, with very little info out there, and I know, alot of people are going to say DON'T DO IT, but I have a 92 parts car, almost striped down already,

Since I'm only a spectator, I can't help too much with making your car fast, but I've seen a handful of third gens used in the V8 bomber classes at the dirt tracks near me (Ocala and Volusia). They've run mid- to back of the pack for the most part. How much this had to do with the driver versus the car I can't say.

Lots of them on the dirt across the country.
You cage in the front subframe making it solid
to the rest of car.
But you still have to subframe and tie cage into rest
of car.
If not, first time you get Saturday Nited all you have
left is a body to drop on a chassis.
Lot of different configurations.
Best
Drop body on rolling chassis.
We did that on quite a few early Novas and Camaros.
