What's your plan for that gap? There's an aftermarket company making 4th gen style spoilers for 3rd gen firebirds.. not that I fault you for trying it yourself.
I don't really have any ideas or I'd share them. Better pictures might help, but it looks like you need an extra stud in there, which means fiberglass time.

that looks badass! I thought it looked like ****, but once I seen it from the side I really like it. that thing fits pretty well.
