Re: fuel pump

Cut off wheel... And cross your fingers theres no vapors. Or jig saw and hopefully you don't cut into your tank. I actually cut mine when I did my LS1 tank swap so I didnt have to worry about fire and changing at a later date.

Re: fuel pump

Agree cut-off wheel with a full tank of gas. Gas liquid will not ignite like vapors will so it is best to have it full and go slow not heating up the whole area at once. The cut-off wheel is also great at making room to move the tank also!

Re: fuel pump

UMMM, Carpet? Sorry not that kind of car. I am sure it could be done with my set-up but this is track only 84 Camaro Z-28. I have a custom 3-link and needed the room above the Diff for the bracket, so i moved the fuel cell to the rear of the car for weight transfer. Then I welded in a basket for the fuel cell with strap hangers. The fuel pump and filter is mounted to the braces under the car, hard line to the front.

Re: fuel pump

pull up the info under search ( fuel pump access hole). Anyway I used tin snips no chance of starting a fire.
