Re: headlight (high beam) ram air
Looks great! This would be perfect for my Camaro as the hood hinge won't allow the use of the TPI airbox. Just wondering if you had to relocate the battery to make room for the hose?

Ya bro, I think that is my favorite all around fab job on TGO so far. I love how it's a symmetrical air cleaner, and the hoses have some flex in them. Throw down some Mothers Protectant on those black hoses and they'd look killer!

Dude ,glad you found it .I put it back on page ONE of the gallery. There has been some great cars on this site over the years, big horse power, custom engine bays, expensive wheels, but they all lacked the rest.I wanted all of the mods in one vehicle, every aspect of this car is customized, rear bumper, belly pan, wheels (widened), brakes ,rear end ,suspension ,coil overs, ,exhaust (5'' tip real) ,door handles, interior (to fit)gas tank and filler neck, air intake motor ( hidden smog stuff),all done at home and all recycled from the salvage yard !!! Thanks for watching !!

Re: headlight (high beam) ram air
Congratulations...You made me eat my words. Took several posts throughout the thread & several requests, but you finally came through. BUT.........
Visually? Wheels & a 4th gen interior. But that 5" exhaust? Even with what the car has underneath it is far from the most modified car here on TGO. Nice, but not Most Modified. Fatal88 had that title YEARS ago & Neil is pretty equal now, just in different areas. But my vote still goes to Fatal88. Sorry!
As for "Yea by the way those are 335/35x17 ' sorry ,and they fit !!! "...I'm running 315s. 335s would fit right in, with zero further modding & still with a full "trunk" & interior plastics the exact way they were designed. I simply didn't think the 20 millimeters were worth the higher cost.

Re: headlight (high beam) ram air
Fatal88 ,had a full shop, apart from the front clip weld-on how hard is that. The rest is still stock. As per my statement it is the most right now!!! Sorry but what do you have done to yours ???? P.S 335 still beats 315 SORRY again !!!!

Re: headlight (high beam) ram air
Fatal has the same interior you have, so not everything is still stock. The underside is so chromed, clean & pretty (show car), you could eat off it. And all this was done in the mid 90s, except for the LS clip. He cut up a perfectly good show winning car to do the LS clip.
Big deal...You have 20mm bigger tires. I simply did not want the extra cost, so I did not do it. And you didn't tuck them under completely stock fenderwells. You cut out a LOT to do, so I'm not all tat impressed. Do you REALLY need our approval? You should be happy with your car, regardless of whatever it has or doesn't have. I'm in it for me, not to impress anyone else, so I don't feel the need to boast my mods over & over.
Have you looked at Neils car? Different mods, but still impressive. What about 1MeanZ? Impressive IRS & still some rear hatch, unlike yours.
My point is.....You have a nice car, but your ego about is as big as well. You have zero humbleness about the work you've done.

If you want to boast about your car.....Start your own thread.
As for Fatal...You have no ideae how much it changed over time, despite already being a show car, do you?

I dont need to boast,I call it as I see it.I dont have a problem with it, you do huh !!! . As for Fatal88 I have seen all these pics Kido, Oh yea bad flames wheels and a front half of a 4th gen. Obviously you have no idea whats involved with these conversions do you. I welded in half of a Corevtte frame and the rear end in my garage. Like I said If you have a collision shop from family you can play all day, while daddy pays the bills. You are lost up there !!!!!!

Re: headlight (high beam) ram air
Put in a Hi/Low like in the Firebirds. I think the Camaros & the 92/92 Firebirds use the same size headlight, so the Hi/Low for a 91/92 Firebird, would fit right in. Then rewire whatever is needed/if needed to make it work & your good.

Im sure this is a dumb question but it just occured to me. Can you drive it in the rain if you run the high beam ram air? Seems like the bend in the tubing would stop the rain before it gets to the carb, but i just wondered.

Re: headlight (high beam) ram air
You don't need to change anything to keep your high beams. I know there were some suggestions above and they will work, but I think they are overthinking things. You don't need to change the headlights at all. The inner pair are only high beams, the outer pair are both high and low beams. So as long as you remove the inner pair for the ram air you will still have high beams.

Replace your Camaro 4561s with Firebird 4666s (same size) & you'll get better light output.

From the specs I've seen, the difference is only 5 watts/bulb. That's not enough of a difference to make me want to spend the money to replace a perfectly good set of lights. But that's just me.

i used the spectre kit, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SPE-711/ . i used the other style that come out at the sides, but was hitting the brake resevior and booster area so i got the other style (spe-711) that fits perfect.

Wow guys these are some nice setups. makes me want to do something like this on my car. Im kind of torn on those, sometimes I wanna do ram air and sometimes I just wanan utilize my cowl hood to the full potential. Sometimes Im like I want a supercharger and neither of those would work. Haha.

Yeah I know I was just wondering, I already fabbed a dual snorkel as you can see earlier in the thread. I was just wondering if it was a full kit, or the "kit" for the hoses, because I used the same tubing for it.
