Spoiler Antenna

http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/19/c...ertible-inclu/

Just saw this posted from chevy and they are explaining how they incorporated a new antenna design into the rear spoiler of 2011 camaro. Would be cool if the company that made the 5" rear spoiler lip was still around making them because it would be near to incorporate an antenna into that instead of having that antenna in our fender. (which i still need to shave... -sigh-)

Re: Spoiler Antenna

I've thought about cutting a pocket in the bottom of a fiberglass firebird spoiler and epoxying/glassing in something like one of these:

but the bigger problem is getting the antenna wire to it...

I did something like that to my moms mazda. I bought a shark antenna and ran the wire to the stock spoiler

Re: Spoiler Antenna

some people have had good luck sticking the whip antenna inside the dash or swapping over to a powered aftermarket antenna. a bit less work and achieves similar results.

Re: Spoiler Antenna
