Tough to know what forum to stick this in. Bought a pair to LT1 valve covers and I can't get them to work- although stock tin covers work fine?? I run RHS vortec heads with Comp 1.6 steel roller rockers. I have removed the drip tabs but the LT cover seem to be 1/4in shifted towards the intake, and when running seems to have rocker interference. I'm all about go and less show, the intention was to quieten the rockers somewhat- but otherwise they really look good.

My LT4's seemed to move them towards the exhaust side. Don't seem to rub but can't say for sure as I have yet to fire the engine.
Also, I couldn't get the recommended gasket to seat right, so I shoemakered a tin set.

I would say they probably would fit fine on stock heads but I've had some other issues with the RHS- oil leaks because some of the bolts would not seat all the way. What rockers are you using? What do you mean by 'seat right'?

1.6 S/A Scorpions. The gaskets kept popping out when I tightened them down, like the distance from the inside edges of the rails were a coupla' thousandths less than a stock head. As far as the gaskets, there's a Fel Pro number for them. I just walked in and bought them. Is there a difference between the LT1 and LT4 gaskets? The store manager assured me there wasn't but maybe that was my problem. Just fill the groove in the valve cover and a little extra with RTV, clamp them down, let 'em dry over night and you should be golden. They sit flat so I'm hoping they'll seal OK. I'll let you know.
Yes do that- I'll be waiting. I wonder if mine were louder because on the intake side they were overhanging and left a nonsealing space.
