If you have pictures on how you used the Jimmy mount to use the park brake, you should add on to the DIY link so others can see how it's done.
The wishbone I use was a Competition Engineering kit. Nothing high tech. Install a tube between the frame rails for 2 mounts to attach to and weld on a mount onto the top of the diff housing. There's a slip joint that allows the diff to move up and down without binding and the wishbone keeps the diff centered. Since it's mounted above the diff, there's no clearance issues down low like a diagonal links creates.
Although I might have some pics somewhere, I don't see any at the moment of the wishbone installation.
This is the kit I used although it's much shorter than what's in the sales picture. Cut and modify to fit each different application.

1bad91z, I have no idea, dont think that I really lightened it up much. Yea I removed a lot of metal but I put alot back in. The main goal was to strengthen and be able to stuff some large tires under the back end to get the car to hookup. Re: 83 z28 back half project started
Very nice job ! Even nicer that you share your expierences and craftmanship. My son has a 83 that we bought it was an old already tubbed race car. [mistake} For the past 3 years we have been straightening out many different problems. I could have bought a Pro Mod already done..LOL Mainly poor welding, making cleaner fitting sheetmetal, brake and chassis work/upgrades. etc. We have just started to drive the car a little. You are at the point I am most interested in actually. We currently used a diagional link { utilizes one of the lower ladder bar mounts and then crosses over to the front ladder bar/frame} with terrible success thus far. The rear of the car jumps/spins a quick left about 2-3 ft. once the secondaires start to open. My chassis guy says we may have to use a panhard bar as long as possible. BUT the diagonal link from what I have been reading is supposed to be better than the panhard bar ? I suggested a wishbone and he says they are terrible for the street ? The car has had the front end aligned, chassis guy weighed all 4 corners and set up the rear alignment and made sure the rear is in there straight. Brand new Detriot locker, 9" Ford, 32 x 22.5 x 15 Hoosiers. EVERYTHING is brand new and nothing has ever bent, broke or loosened up. But then again we just started to drive it. I have this feeling that 'as is' if we were to put slicks on it somethings going to hit the asphalt. Any ideas ? Sugguestions ? BTW the car tracks perfectly otherwise.
