i just got a new z28 grille, and did my own custom touches to it,


and i really didnt want to drill into it again and cover up my grille emblem with the license plate again...

and since NJ has a law about having the front license plate, i had to re-locate it so i went to the hardware store and picked up some 1 1/2 inch by 6 ft. 1/8 inch sheet metal. after i measured, cut, and bended the pieces with a vice and a hammer, i got this.

i then drilled the holes to mount the license plate to them.



and then drilled the holes to mount it to the impact bumper behind the bumper cover. for me to mount it i had to remove one plastic screw.after i did this i had some self-tapping sheet metal screws, and mounted it after i had it in the spot i wanted it in..

i put some electrical tape on the license plate bolts so it didnt scratch my paint.

so here it is mounted to the car...

 

and now with the new grille





thought id throw on my headlight covers too...






lemme know what you guys think. if u want ill throw up some dimentions if u wanna do this.

Looks great! Where did you get those covers at? i got tails, i need headlight ones though.
