T-Top Glass Removal! TA DA!!!! DONE!!!

I bought my 92 Camaro T-Top a few weeks ago . It had the Plexy tops (Ugly as hell!!) So I bought a nice set of glass tops and of course, being from an 86 camaro, they had the small pins. so for the time being I just drilled larger holes and transferred the large pin mechanisms over. After I had both the glass tops installed I started looking at the Plexy tops and after a few different ideahs I came up with this and pulled the housing away from the glass no problem . Make sure the glass/Plexy is well covered with preferably very thick paper or like a Lucky Charms box taped into place leaving about 1/8-1/4 away from the glue. Take a thin flexable 1'' wide putty knife and sharpen it as sharp as you can. Start from the sides were the pins exit the holes (Yes it does seem barbaric but) hit it with a hammer untill about 1''-1 1/4'' of the putty knife is under the glue. After you have finnished with both sides start in the middle and work your way out to the sides. the putty knife will go in about 1'' and stop. (NOTE! Do the 2 small tabs on the inside last... It's easier lol) After you have cut through all of that take a smaller 1/8'' wide flathead screw driver to the very far end were the glass meets the outside trim and Carefully separate the 2 pieces. And if you have done this with care you will have 2 good pieces to clean a lot of glue off of .
