E brake cover
So I am removing my console, and putting in some custom parts including a slim stereo pod, a small shifter boot and ebrake cover. These will be as small and light as possible.
I am ready to begin riveting the brake cover, what do you guys think?
its made of .032 aircraft aluminum (T2024) with aluminum rivets.
The small section left on the top of it is for some switches.

Re: E brake cover
looks good so far. I take it this is to cover the ratchet mechanism? Is the E-brake handle going to come out of a slotted opening?
I am building a track day car and I not only removed the console but the trans tunnel as well. I will be remounting the e brake handle assy but will want to cover the ratchet so no chance of getting anything caught in it. I am thinking more along the lines of a simple fabricated console with out any storage compartment or armrest. I'll follow your progress and maybe cop an idea or two.
