heres a iroc with the sts also.
http://austinthirdgen.org/sts.html
I bought the dark red smoked lenses from klearz. I have all 3 working together. wasn't anything difficult. im going to be doing the sts very soon.
the backup light problem ive been trying to work out for awhile. ive been using led license plate bolts for the b/u lights. they are just not bright enough.
im going to try fitting some led modules between the lenses and the bumper

ya i like the bottom link for the backup lights so what all did you do to get all three working together was it just buying new sockets & wireing them up i looked online for tail sockets but all i see is three wire thay say tail/stop/turn but you have the blue wire =stop brown=tail yellow=turn & then the ground wire thats 4 wires are you tying two together at somepoint ?? thats where im not shure how to make it work

Re: taillight conversion ever been done ???
I used a wire harness from a trans am to create a camaro that would light up all tail lights and turn signals like a trans am. Painted the lenses with a transparent red paint and it works great and looks good. Dont know of any kits but if you can solder two wires together its not to hard to build your own

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/tail-brake-turn/ http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_saca...c&LH_PrefLoc=1 hear are a few the 19 & 21 led bulbs claim to be plug & play & 50% brighter some of the more powerfull ones you need a load resister or atleast thats what the instructions on the site say lol

I just put Putco 360 3157s in my Alero. The load resister is to prevent "quick flash" in turn signals as well as "bulb out" warnings. The white ones will output a different colour light than your current incandesant bulbs. It's the same colour as a 6000k HID so you might want to go with a red bulb. Also the turn on is much sharper so the sequence won't be as smooth.

I have the white ones in my tail lights. It just turns them slightly pink because it's such a pure, bright white. I like it. Just thought I'd mention it.

Re: taillight conversion ever been done ???
got a bit sidetracked decided to make some backup lights out of another set of taillights i got from the junkyard cut the clear out & fit it into the blank panel & cut down the socket housing to fit in that part so i can just use the factory sockets & leds for my back up lights still havent got the led bulbs yet hopfully i will have all the parts & have it back together 1 day next week Thread Starter

Re: taillight conversion ever been done ???
well i got the taillights painted red the led bulbs didnt work they light for tail but nothing for brake or turn so i just bought new standered bulbs ended up using a 3 led strip daytime running light for my backup lights & it works great i put it inside the blank panel that i made the backup lense with so every thing worked great but the led bulbs here are the lights i used for my back up http://www.ebay.com/itm/6000K-WHITE-LED-2x3W-DAYTIME-RUNNING-LIGHT-BRIGHT-SIGNAL-LAMP-SIDE-MARKER-BULD-/231085241586?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item35cdc0f4f2
