Prop valve and Master Cyl info site

Just came across this site from another link.

How Stuff Works

Has a TON of info on Automotive mechanical. Some of it basic...but some of it very technical.

Check on the Master Cylinder and Proportioning valve section. It explains how brake biasing works. Nice animated pictures. Should be immediately apparent why you can not gut a proportioning valve for instance. A subject that has come up numerous times here.

Also has a great explanation on how the Spool Valve and Torsion bar of a Power Steering system affect road feel. Something I knew about...but never really understood "how it works". Now I do

Knowledge is power Guys and Gals. So read up and go faster!!!
