hood clearence
does anyone else here run a Edelbrock performer RPM intake(7101) on ther motor? if so will the stock hood clear it?

I do....and it does clear the stock hood. I have a Holley carb on mine...of course it takes a drop base air cleaner to make it clear.

Alright thanks a lot man,good to here some info.i run the 670 holly on mine too,so looks like i just need a drop base brether.and then modify it to hook up my duel snorkel ram air.

drop base cleaner and you should be good.
My edelbrock performer EPS intake and 2" regular open element air cleaner barely fits. The wing nut has about 1/8" clearance!

well my stock intake with 1'' spacer is the same height in the rear of the intake as the performer rpm.its just the front that is almost a half inch.i modded my stock breather today,and i think i'll be able to swing it,well got my fingers crossed
