Tread carefully. First of all, I know of no Firebird or Trans Am in 1990 that had T-tops. But that's minor compared to the rest.

Pardon my language, but the picture of the car in the article is crap. Not only that, but the only documentation of a car that supposedly was never titled is mysteriously missing? Yeah, right.

There's way too much information missing in this ad. Where was it stored? Under what conditions? Why was it stored?

Get a VIN and research it as best as you can. I'd be willing to bet that this car is not what the seller claims it is. A low mileage, one owner car like that would be on Barrett Jackson, Hemmings, or even Autotrader...not Craigslist.

This is not a slam against you, meangreen, as you did not post the ad, but I call BS on the whole thing.

 

10k miles with no title? BS

 

yeah even for a dealer car that might have been "demo", or a manager drove it, i think its too many miles. Either its a title issue or maybe was bought and used strictly for racing, which means its beat down. I just thought someone would be interested and maybe wanted to do some legwork. The car is about an hr from me, but im not in the market financally, even if a few hundred dollar project popped up... Im always on the hunt though!

 

This kind of stuff happens a lot more than I ever thought it did. a dealer kept it in storage and now here we are.
If that car dosent have a 350 it could have TTOPs in 90. Looks like a 305 2 me?? maybe Im not see n it??

yeah prob was kept in the back of the shop under a cover at the stealership(mis wrote on purpose!).. T TOPs were available in 90, why would they stop for 1 yr? just thought the car was a neat find. I just dont have funds to get it so im not gonna make a 2hr round trip to see it. If someone on here was serious and needed a tech's eye, id go, providing I got some lunch... =) !!!

 

found an updated ad, still not much info, but better pics, still alot of money for a car that getting titled may be super hard to accomplish
