Need advice on '84 T/A
Need advice on '84 T/A
Hey Mods, I wasn't sure where to post this, if it's in the wrong place feel free to move it.
I have an opportunity to pick up a 1984 T/A, automatic, low mileage, with a pile of spare parts. The car has no engine at the moment so I can't test drive it. Aside from the obvious, are there any specific problem areas I should look at? The car looks decent, but I'm not very familiar with F-bodies. Yet.
Thanks, Bob
PS- Please don't flame my username TOO badly!

F body weak spots are the floor pans especially if it's a t-top that leaked. If the outside looks good and the floor pans are good then go for it. You can always sell off the extra parts you don't need. And welcome to TGO.
Thanks for the reply. The car is a T-top, nearly rust free, it's been garaged for a number of years. The owner had planned a mini-resto, but a nasty divorce got in the way. Now he's just looking to move it out of his garage. He's selling the car with a number of new parts, headers etc. that he's collected for it. I'm going to give it a good close look for collision repair as it's been repainted. If it's straight underneath, I'm gonna grab it.
