I am looking to buy a 3rd generation Firebird or Trans Am that runs good and does not have any major body damage or major mechanical problems. I am looking to spend around $1200 to $1500, although I would be open to spending a bit more for the right car.

In addition to a good body and running condition, I am looking for an automatic transmission, AC/heater, radio, with all parts intact.

I am a SERIOUS buyer who is ready to buy NOW as long as everything checks out. However, I MUST be able to bring the car to my mechanic to be checked out before agreeing to buy. If you would prefer to meet me at the mechanic's shop, that could certainly be arranged.

I am located in Central NJ, so I am looking for any sellers in or around that area. Although I prefer a Firebird or Trans Am, I would consider a Camaro as well.
