[NJ/NYC] 1984 Trans Am Recaro Edition
Hello all,
I'm not to far from NYC, living in the Hudson Valley region of NY and wanted to get a feel if any were planning to sell an '84 Recaro in the near future. This is a car I've wanted for many years and wanted to make the jump before it's too late (before my wife and I have kids!)
What is the going market value of these cars in decent condition? Is it hard to get some of the seats reupholstered if they are damaged?

It's not impossible to get the seats restored but not inexpensive either. NOS seat sets have sold for $2,000 and more and I think once you've gone through buying the material, getting the covers made and having them fitted/installed you would be that much or more.
Definitely a cool car to own, but buy the absolute best one with the lowest miles you can afford and you will be dollars ahead in the long run.

I have an 82 Recaro I'm going to put up for sale soon. 1 owner 75 k miles. Garaged it's whole life. Been sitting last 15 years. Very. Very sharp car. It's in VA. If you're interested. New to this. Not sure how this works. Ront81@aol.com
