Looking For a 91/92 Firebird or Trans Am Project

I am looking for a 91 or 92 Firebird or Trans Am project car. T top or convertible preferred. 5 speed would be nice but autos are ok too. Looking to spend around $3000, maybe a little more for the right car. I am located in Pecos, Texas but if you will work with a shipping company I can do that. Thanks.

Re: Looking For a 91/92 Firebird or Trans Am Project

I have a 91 Firebird near Austin. I’ve had it 6 months and done a lot to it.
350 TBI w/ 5 speed and T-tops.
Not advertised for sale.
A bit over your budget but it’s a nice car.
At this stage of my restoration, I would need
to get $5000 firm.
Text me if interested. 512 431 2476

Re: Looking For a 91/92 Firebird or Trans Am Project

I just listed the following for $4700 BUT I want to sell before it snows again and it’s stuck in the garage for 6 months, so I’m very open to a negotiation

Drivers Side

tiation

1992 Pontiac Firebird (Formula or Coupe)
111,788 miles
305 5.0L V8(TBI) OHV 16V
4AT w/OD
RS soft ride package
Rear Limited Slip Posi
Sport Appearance Pkg
Original Paint in Blue/Teal
Original Grey Cloth Interior
Working T-Tops (tiny leak on passenger door seal while raining)

*All Working
Tilt
Cruise
A/C
Heat
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Driver Air Bag intact
Original Wheels
2 Keys with working remotes
Little to No Rust underneath
Beautiful Visual Appearance

Price: $4,700.00

*The Unknown*

Hood- it does not possess the “power bulge” scoop hood or eagle decal (but yes it’s the original, no never been replaced) however in 92 several oddities were seen with regard to the body & hood appearance

Tail Lights- someone has battled with me over it’s true “Formula” status because it doesn’t have special blacked out Pontiac logo tail lights, I can’t find anything to justify that claim either way.

5th Letter in VIN- it is a S rather than V or W, there is at least one website out there that says this makes the car a Firebird not a Firebird Formula, but several more that classify it as a either Coupe or Formula based on the engine being a 305 V8

Car has lived in a So Calif beach town for the past 20 years & for just the past year up in the Big Bear area mountains. It still runs strong, sounds great and doesn’t dislike the cold dryer weather it she deserves a better playground (it’s parked 7 of 12 months in the garage, with 3-4ft of snow blocking the drive, steep terrain & hills not friendly to low profile cars with less than ideal gravel repaired streets and pot holes and cinder rather than salt used on roads), all lessen the cars life expectancy and double the wear & tear.

Except for the inevitable upkeep, it’s all still original exterior, interior and under the hood.

Your car is a base Firebird, not a Formula. Formula's never came with GFX, had the Trans Am spoiler, and they never came with that hood
