These are very nice pieces to say the least. Its just a shame that since they were starting from scratch, that they couldn't adapt a bolt on style hub with sealed bearings to keep maintenance simpler. A style that comes to mind is the 98+ blazers. I just did that swap on my S10 since I needed rotors and bearings anyways. Got a free caliper upgrade at the same time!

I'll keep an eye on this anyways

I agree to some extent, however the sealed bearing design is an expensive design along with a substantial bearing replacement cost. Honestly, I doubt anyone here would be willing to spend $750 for a set of spindles. For example, the AFX spindles from ATS:

It would be a nice feature though but in the end it always comes down to cost. The Blazer spindles are nice though, I did a set of C6 ZO6 brakes on a Blazer a while back and it turned out nice:

Re: NEW Group Purchase of Dropped Spindles

I'd call Mark and talk to him directly. I know there's been a lot of interest but how many guys will go through with it I do not know. I have brackets made for the setups I've shown but I don't know how Mark has tweaked the spindle design to handle the LS1/C4 brakes. I'll call him this week. I have a few more test shots to post later of those applications.

Hey Ed, Can you post up some pictures? Are the brackets tweaked to fit the revised spindles?

Re: NEW Group Purchase of Dropped Spindles

Just curious, but RC's website shows mounts for a 4th gen rack as an option. Does anyone know if this rack is a direct it?...of course assuming the use of the k that comes with the mounts and these r&p spindles. This may not directly apply to the group purchase, but does tie in.

I need to call Mark and discuss where he is with the spindles and brackets I sent him for review. I'll post up when I have more info.

Re: NEW Group Purchase of Dropped Spindles

HELLO, I was the first person to receive the last Drop spindle from an OLD time race parts builder and it was a nightmare. I had to return the spindle to AJE for them to redesign it after waiting a year or so.
ED are these spindles any better than the AJE I sent you a few years ago?

I have a set of the AJE "revised" spindles, but they haven't been installed yet. Anyone have a comment on them?

Re: NEW Group Purchase of Dropped Spindles

Hey guys,

I'm looking into getting 2" drop spindles... Anybody know what's going on with this? I just read all 4 pages and this looks amazing..

I have Ed's LS1 brake kit (phenominal kit by the way).. Would the Racecraft spindles work with this kit?

Thanks,
-Marc

Re: NEW Group Purchase of Dropped Spindles

I believe Ed did match his setups with Racecrafts drop spindles. Look at the older Group Buy thread for Racecraft DS's.

Re: NEW Group Purchase of Dropped Spindles

yeah i followed that but i think it was not concluded... I'm guessing it is because on Racecraft's site it says compatible with aftermarket brakes including LS1 brakes.

I will call them and ask..

I'm gonna put those on and then cut my MOOG IROC springs in the rear to match the front (with a slight 0.5" rake)..
