I would like to see if enough people would like to get together on a group purchase from UMI performance. I know a lot of us are getting our tax returns soon and Im sure plenty are thinking of their car's suspension. As soon as I can get some hard numbers I will get in contact with UMI.

Good idea. I have my eye on a set of UMI SFC's but am trying to wait for a GP/discount. I will be in for at least the SFC's, maybe more depending on how much the discount is and when it's offered.

 

I was thinking of pushing for mid to late Feb. since I know most co. wait till the last week in Jan. to ship the tax returns. So, I fig. by mid to late Feb. most will have recieved their return.

I know I usually do mine as soon as I get it and then I recieve my return via direct deposit within 2.5 weeks or so. Maybe we should set it up for the first week of March just to give ppl time.

 

Too cold now for most people to wrench anyway.

Id still like to get more ppl talkin before I pitch the idea to UMI so come on ppl. I know lots of ppl are gonna use some of that tax return for some new suspension parts so chime in and get some money off!

 

Theres a few things at UMI that I am interested in, I was gunna wait till there easter sale, but if the price if right I'll buy earlier

Great to see ppl getting interested! We are about to get into talks with UMI (Stephen 2nd post) has decided to help get this thing rollin'.

Some are concerned about the timing and I think we should work on a final time frame. Here is the way my tax year works (Im sure it varies by person and state)...I usually get my tax info (W2s) by the end of the first week of Feb. Most of the business here dont ship them out till the deadline which is the last week of Jan. Then I file it online usually the same day or very soon after and I recieve my money in about 2 weeks or so.

Thats why I was thinking the first week in March. Plus it wouldnt be so cold out for most. Whats everyones input on this?

 

Thats about right, even up in Mn we work on them during the winter..but march or late Feb would be a great time...

 

Well, we are trying to get ahold of Ryan at UMI and if he sees this post I hope he will throw in a reply. As soon as we find out something we will update the thread.

I think the goal was to find out what kind of GP discount TGO members could get & have time to plan on WHAT to get, depending on the GP discount.

 

Glad to see UMI is up for this too! I still havent recieved all my tax info to even file my return. I really think the best time frame for this would be sometime in March.

I think it would also help UMI to know that ppl are comitted too. Atleast, after we get some more of the details worked out. We all have to understand that they need to have some incentive too.

Of course, since I started the thread, I am definately in and I think I might be able to be ready by 1st or 2nd week of March. My tax return was shipped to an old address so now im at the mercy of the USPS. As soon as I get it, THE DAY, its going to get filed. I hope I recieve it soon.

Is everyone still ok for the beginning of March sometime? Ryan, what kinda time frame do you usually do? couple days? a week?
