88 and 89 iroc
After owning about 12 5.0 stangs iam looking to buy a iroc i would really like a 1990 but iam realistic and know my chances are slim because they are very rare.Anyway about the 89 some came with 230 hp and some 240 because of the dual cat's correct? My question is how can i tell?and if i get the single cat model with 230 hp and swap in a 2 cat system will i achieve the 240 hp?And the same question goes for a 88 if i swap in a dual cat system.thanx for any help.

I'm glad you have decided to look for a Camaro, an IROC-Z especially, after all those M*****g's.
The top model for 89, the IROC-Z28 350 TPI G92 with dual converters is rated at 240HP and 345TQ. It would not be worth putting on a dual converter setup if you get a single converter car when you can just get a high flow and have pretty much the same results. Not much of a difference anyway, and they are expensive.

Thanx for the help hopefully in the near future i will be blasting around town and showing up my old Mustang buddies in my new iroc z.I guess it doesn't matter if i get the single or dual cat car since i will be most likely adding a flowmaster axhaust.
