Any media blasting comments?

IROC is almost dismantled and local custom paint shop has suggested I have the parts (GFX, doors, hood etc) media blasted.
They will then put on the custom paint (ain't cheap).

Anyone out there had a car media blasted? I will pass along price quote next week if anyone is interested.

thanks in advance.

I'm saving up right now for a very nice $2K-$4K paint job where they will also have to strip my car down. Sorry that I have no idea on the cost yet but as far as the media to use, I've heard this new stuff called K2, is good. Much better than soda in that it leaves no residue. It can also be used in conjunction with good old sandblasting.

I think this would be better posted in the appearance board.

Just to followup ... l took all my parts over for media blasting. They could only do fenders, doors, body (metal pieces). They have previoulsy experimenced pitting on bumpers, GFX. I have decided to sand it all by hand.
