cant find RPO'S

here's one for all you history gurus out there! i have a 1987 Formula WS6 which i just purchased. i usually play the "history guru" myself, but ive looked all over for the RPO codes and they are nowhere to be found. the center console was replaced so im certain thats what happened to them, but i know GM put them in some mighty weird places before. my question is this: is there any other way to use other numbers off the car (a.k.a.-V.I.N.) to pull up your original RPO's? thanks guys/gals!

I believe that Pontiac Historical Services can track this info for you with just the VIN. I could be wrong, but give 'em a try.
